Day 18

It's 11pm and I am just now sitting down from work.  I'm tired and I am glad the next 3 days are a holiday here in Japan.  I haven't have any cravings since PCP started until today (and maybe the lasagna at the party the other night that looked pretty good).  I was cleaning out my desk and found a snickers bar that I bought to eat the day before our 1/2 rule was over but then I got busy at work and forgot about it.  I put it back in my desk drawer for about 5 minutes before deciding that it probably wasn't safe there and fed it to my work husband.  He finished it in 2 bites and looked quite happy so I was thinking it was win win.  But as the day went on I kept thinking about it and wanting to eat one which is kind of strange because I am not a big candy or sweets person at all.  I made it through the day and then got home to a house full of people eating pizza and drinking wine.  Once again, I am usually able to see people eating and drinking things and not want any but I was hungry and tried and cranky and that pizza and wine looked so good! :-( BUT I was strong and went into the kitchen and put a weighed out carrot into my mouth and chomped on it while I weighed out my chicken and 1/2 bagel.  Another disaster avoided, now if I can just get my workout in before midnight today will have been a success.

  1. Great willpower! I did the same thing today --- I grabbed a homemade cookie --- held it a little bit and put it back because I was thinking ---- no, it's not worth it! It feels good doesn't it even though it's hard at times! :)

  2. Amazing stuff good work Lori! I feel as if the PCP diet is pretty sustainable, and don't usually mind watching other people eat stuff, but it's the smell of all the other foods which really gets me!

  5. Yep! Sure did. I have missed two since we started but I woke up early the next day and did the missed workout and then did that day's workout in the vening. Not ideal but better than skiiping the workout all together.
