Day 15

I haven't weighed all week. I have been trying to focus on how I feel and how my clothes fit.  Suit pants were def looser this week and I feel "lighter".  Tony and I went out to work out with Patrick today sine it was a holiday in Japan.  The scale confirmed what I thought...I had lost weight and actually a little more than I thought so over all #'s and %s are down so I'm happy.  Still hating the jump rope but other than that all good. 

Tonight we went to watch the Royal Wedding at a friend's place.  It was one of the first times I actually wanted a drink when everyone else was toasting with champagne and Tony and I were drinking water.  I took a picture of all the yummy food we resisted (see above).  It was fruit time for me so I had banana and strawberries, but a bit later when the lasagna came out (it looked and smelled AMAZING) I was hungry and couldn't stand it so I left and came home to cook dinner.  So unfortunately I missed the balcony kiss.  I'm sure Kate and William will understand.

Day 13

I skipped posting yesterday. To tired and just a crap day (non PCP related). I got home late and was so tired. Calves were still hurting but are all better today.  The guilt of not doing and cardio last night must have been on my mind because in my dream last night I was eating something and then realized it was breaded and fried and started spitting it out and was feeling guilty for having put it in my mouth.  Strange dream but I'm sure it some how related to the guilt of not being able to be on top of my cardio this week due to leg pain.  Luckily I have stayed on target perfectly with food. We are about to have some holidays around here so I am looking forward to being able to do my workouts during the day instead of at the end of the day.  Still trying to work out the timing for the morning workout.

New favorite snack, fresh mango slices with cinnamon!  Yum!!!

Day 11

Finally went to bed early enough last night that I woke up early enough and with enough energy to do my workout!! Yeah!!  Unfortunately I couldn't walk!!! Booooo!!!  I think I mentioned in my other post that on Saturday we went to Patrick's studio to workout.  I didn't know that we needed to bring a pair of indoor trainers so I worked out and did all my jump ropes barefooted.  The workout part was fine but jumping barefooted hurt so I think I jumped more on my tiptoes which resulted in tremendous pain in my calves.  I was hoping it would be better by the time I got home so I could at least do a brisk walk, but when I was having to take the steps at the train station one at a time on the way home I knew it wasn't going happen.  I popped some Aleve and did the rest of the day 11 workout but skipped the cardio (jumping portion).  I am pretty disappointed and hoping to feel lots better in the morning.  I know lots of people on here are trying to shed some fat and become more ripped and some of us have more fat to burn than others. I am def one of the ones with quite a bit of fat to burn so I really need to be able to get my cardio in each and every day.

The day was pretty long so I don't exactly remember but I know breakfast was an Easter Egg (light green), raw carrot, milk and a little jasmine rice left over from stuffing the peppers yesterday. Morning snack was a banana. Lunch was the same as yesterday (shrimp and veggie toast minus the avocado).Afternoon snack I think was an apple and  dinner was the same as yesterday as well...stuffed bell pepper (stuffed with turkey, grilled veggies and jasmine rice).

Off to bed and hoping for better calves tomorrow.

Day 10 Easter Sunday

Got up early this morning and colored Easter eggs with my friend's daughter.  Guess I will be eating these for breakfast for the rest of the week!!!


Then we did a little yoga and PCP action to keep her busy while her mom and dad got their stuff ready to take her on a picnic.


Finally they were off on their picnic and it was lunch time for me.  Brown rice bread toasted with a very small smear of avacado on each slice, topped with bell peppers, onion and shrimp with red pepper flakes. YUM!!

afternoon snack was fresh blueberries

Dinner: Minced turkey cooked with onion, bell pepper, jasmine rice, tomatoe and then stuffed into a bell pepper and roasted.  I made 3 of these but didn't want to get sick of the same flavor so one has cracked pepper, one has crushed red pepper and the other had the salt free spice mix below.  I bought it at Cost-co a while back but if you can find it I highly recommend it!!!


Tony!  Thanks for coming over to work out. I probably would have still been putting it off.  I think I may try to get a few more skips in before bed!!

Inspiration

WOW!  I just went and looked at some of the before and after photos from past PCPers.  If you need some inspiration along the way I highly reccomend this!!!  They look amazing!  Some people look like totally new people!

Day 9

Went with Tony and Richard to the studio to workout with Patrick.  It was good I went because I was feeling so tired today that if I had stayed home there is a very good chance my workout would have been half ass.  Also, our friend Ricahrd just finished his 90 day PCP and looks great so it is a good motivator and he's also our biggest cheerleader which is nice. 

Patrick also took some measurements and photos, again a good motivator, my #s were terrible.  So if I was thinking about easing into it I am def not thinking that way anymore.

Diet part has been easier than I thought.  It's actually a lot of food.  In fact, I am having trouble remembering to eat my evening fruit because I am not hungry at all after dinner.

Tomorrow I am coloring Easter eggs with my friend's daughter so I guess I will be having colored eggs this week for breakfast. :-)

Day 8

Sticking to the diet was much easier today than I thought it would be.  Especially when everyone in the office was eating junk food and I was crunching away on carrots.  I am totally wiped out today and think I will be in bed by 9:30pm and asleep by 10pm.  I am looking forward to going with Tony and Rich to meet Patrick tomorrow and have a work out at the studio.  I also need to go get as much shopping done as I can so that I can get some meal preps done.  I think one of my biggest struggles will be time issues so I am trying to address some of that by preparing ahead. 

I know I am not as active as some of the others on the blog on weekdays but I spend about 13 hours a day in front of a computer and on the phone right now so when I get home all I want to do is my workout (if I didn't do it in the morning) eat and go to bed.  I will try harder. :-)

Day 7

Last day to eat 1/2 of whatever I want.....Hmmmm. Not sure if that will make me miss it more or less but since I didn't have time to think of something great I think it's going to be the chicken burrito from the lunch place down the street.1/2 of it for lunch and 1/2 for dinner. And since I'm still low on the self control when tempted I'll ask them to cut it on half and package it separately ahead of time. I'm also meeting a client for drinks so the plan is the same as last Saturday,3 glasses of water for every one glass of wine.

I'm excited and not excited about tomorrow but I know it will get easier.

Day 6

I took a look around and it looks like everyone has been good about blogging BUT me.  So I am inspired to do more.  Just need a few extra hours in the day.  I am barely finding time to get my work outs in. So far most of them have been after 10pm so this week I am trying to adjust my sleeping patterens so that I can get up early and do them in the morning and then still get to bed at a decent hour each night.

Day 4

I hate my jump rope and it hates me.  It "slapped" me hard enough that I have welts on both arms!!! 
I had a friend take the banner photos you see in my banner and it was hard to send them in but it was def. a wake up call.  I couldn't believe that was me in those photos.  You know you have gained some weight and your clothes start not to fit but then you see it in photos and you can't ignore it anymore.  So as hard as it was I sent them in to PCP to put on my banner so that I have to look at them everyday to remind myself why I can't quit.  I did the same thing with the before photos you have to send in and those were even worse!!!  I wanted to cry! Again, I couldn't believe that was me in the photos!!!  So tonight when I wanted to quit for the night after being bitch slapped by my jump rope I looked at the before photo I am keeping on my iphone and started jumping again!  Off to bed so that I can get up and do it all again tomorrow morning.
